Diary of a Rock Balancer ::

Stone Balance Art created and photographed by Michael Grab — 06 August 2016 — Colorado, USA ::

Living decor for a private party. . . I went old school as i usually do in large spaces — tall columns, big toppers. My goal was for these to last all night and through the morning, so they would just kinda appear out of the darkness at sunrise — meaning centered enough to withstand the elements as much as possible.

I like to think of their lifespans as the amount of time the earth *allows their presence. Funny that while i was building, the wind blew off and on, hence the stronger builds. Then once I zeroed the first one (foreground), the wind decided to finish too. Both endured a final downpour while the sun reemerged through the rain for what seemed like a pre-sunset christening of sorts . .

Intention met!
