“You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul.” ♥

~ George Bernard Shaw

There is a certain feeling I get when a certain design is realized through rocks.. I can’t explain fully, but it excites my spirit to look… and for me, when this feeling comes up, it is clearly an expression of soul… maybe it’s a blend of the current moment with certain shape arrangements… either way, I felt the love as I looked at this balance… it is relatively simple.. but simple works too :) …. So go make some art… if you get that happy feeling, then you’re on the right path ;)

  1. My rock balancing is still very “rudimentary” and simple, more like stacks – not going for the big balances. But I feel the same thing in my mandala art. There is a “feeling” when the design is realized: the balance, the symmetry, the color, the fluidity (hopefully). There’s something appealing to the eyes in the balance of it all – even on paper, as in your rock balances. It too is the expression of the soul. Maybe it’s just the balance that is the expression of the soul, no matter what art form. Although, there *is* a certain feeling when the rocks “click” into balance that is beyond everything else I have felt… <3
